Shawn is a more than a career marketer and entrepreneur. He’s wired for integration. After years of event leadership as an officer and President of the Kansas City Business Marketing Association, Shawn became a sought-after speaker and presenter at marketing events across the country. Shawn saw a need for a convenient and affordable way for advertising and marketing professionals to stay current with rapidly changing and expanding marketing media and technologies, and how to use that information to help their companies and clients drive revenue rapidly. He developed the Integrated Marketing Summit (IMS) in 2009 to meet these needs.

Shawn began his marketing career at 1989 as President & founder of Elledge Photographic labs Inc. in Austin TX. Within 5 years, he grew the company from a one man, one client operation to over 600 active customers with 32 FTE’s and was featured as the fastest growing business in central Texas along with Michael Dell of Dell Computers.

After selling Elledge Photographic Labs, Shawn wanted to learn more about lithographic printing and began working for a commercial printer that offered traditional commercial printing and direct mail services. During this time Shawn became aware of the performance measurability issues of direct mail and developed an expertise in digital marketing technologies.

In 2005 Shawn launched Rug Goddess, an e-commerce company offering area rugs online.

Shawn levered and honed his expertise in this emerging marketing arena, working for a series of leading providers in various segments, including Exacttarget, a leading provider of email services (Now; Web Side Story a leading web analytics solution acquired by Omniture (Now Adobe); Premier Studios, where he managed online marketing services, including email marketing, search engine marketing/optimization, web analytics, and web development; Eloqua (Now Oracle), a leading marketing automation platform provider where he was responsible for launching and managing an agency partner program in North America and Asia Pacific (APAC).

In 2016 Shawn launched the Integrated Marketing Association (IMA) which is dedicated to the continued education and support of marketing professionals. IMA features many services to help support marketing professionals i.e. job board, martech showcase, online and in-person training, and educational events.

Shawn has provided consulting services focusing on marketing strategy and technology recommendations from startups to fortune 100 enterprises on improving their integrated marketing strategies. Clients include Oracle, Eloqua, Acton, TrackMaven, Integrant, Emtec, Merkle, Acxiom, Adestra, BioLab,, MicroStrategy, Armanino, ITX, Liveperson, MentorMate, northAmerican, Integrant, National Sublimation and Hubspot to name a few.
